This time I see that the Waldorf, PH, and Rosewood are all very much within the price range of the Kimpton due to free night+amex/virtuoso promos. I have status with IHG and Marriott but for this section of my trip I don’t really care about using it.

Criteria:
i am Gen Z so clientele that skews towards 20-late 30s
best base room.
pool bar
location is irrelevant as I don’t really go out for nightlife in Sukhumvit. This stay is going to be for resting from long nights
For what you’re looking for, here’s how these hotels compare:

• Waldorf Astoria – Base rooms are large and well-appointed with a classic design, though not at the level of more refined high-end properties. The pool is impressive in terms of setting but is quiet and more for relaxation than socialising. Clientele tends to be older and more formal.

• Park Hyatt – Modern, minimalist rooms with high-quality finishes. The pool is excellent, with good service and a stylish setup, but the hotel overall still leans towards a refined, calm atmosphere rather than a social one.

• Rosewood – Base rooms are smaller but have a distinct boutique feel with high-end materials and a residential style. The hotel has a younger aesthetic, though it’s still more on the quiet side. The pool area isn’t ideal for lounging, but the rooftop bar (Lennon’s) has a good atmosphere.

If a younger crowd and a more social vibe are key, you may find these hotels a bit subdued. W Bangkok and The Standard Bangkok have a livelier energy, with a clientele closer to what you described at the Kimpton Maa Lai. That said, they’re a step down in terms of overall positioning, so it depends on whether atmosphere or hotel tier matters more to you for this stay.
