The sounds you are hearing are the champagne corks popping at Alaska/Hawaiian’s offices after hearing that Southwest is largely ending the “bags fly free” policy, thus bringing greater parity to the WN vs. HA equation.

I’m reminded of a WN inter island flight where ladies of a hula halau were also traveling. They were delighted that their ipu fit into the 737’s larger overhead bin; that may be one of the few remaining advantages WN has for inter-island travelers….
