My guess is that these customers will be seated in business but the ticket may remain Y+ in terms of benefits - and mileage credit - it offers. Service on board will likely remain the same anyway, given the similarity between SAS Plus crap and KLM wanderboxes.
Alternatively, I can see them keeping SAS Plus on board until the legacy bookings run out. But I consider this less likely.
Sounds very unlikely to me that they would seat these customers in business but then only give the old "Plus benefits" and service.
"Hmm, let me check my iPad. Okay, sir, although you are seated in 1A, since you booked 10 months ago, we only have sparkling water and cold cuts for you.
As for you, madam, in 1C, which hot meal would you prefer? And perhaps a glass of champagne to go with it?"
