Yes, there has been
significant discussion of this term.
Concerning Corporate nominatees, perhaps but do not know the answer. But how many of those folks are also MMers? Seems it will be a very small population.
IMO, the target of "earned status" is those that are "gifted status" as a MMer companion. Mean MM companions can not pass on their gifted status to another individual. This was done in the past by some and has been called daisy chaining.
