My issue is that UO is effectively taking up a lot of what would have been the Dragonair network and also expanding the CX network to new destinations. As it’s not full service and there are no CX benefits (not even priority boarding, choosing seats like Scoot offers SQ Gold), I just won’t consider these destinations at all and will fly on other carriers. The more they expand UO, the more CX as a programme becomes less attractive and would encourage me to fly with other airlines / become a free agent. This is coming from a 100% leisure traveller perspective.
