On the red eye return flight I flew LH with a breakfast before landing. Should be same on OS, albeit breakfast should be better than Heimat stuff.
Thanks for your comments! I think I have pretty much excluded the OS option, as it involves 12-hour lay-over in Vienna, which is probably not a good idea after a red-eye. The two options I’m now contemplating are the red-eye in LH J via FRA vs a day flight on SAS via CPH.

Yes, according to the IcelandAir website, which I believe, the lounge hours are 5 a.m.–5 p.m., even though LH still indicates a 1 a.m. closure.
