Completely agree that sofabeds, on the whole, are torture racks.

As for the sentiment of your post, hotels (not just Marriott) advertise a lot of things that are subpar - breakfasts, pools, fitness centers, it goes on.

If something is advertised, it simply means the hotel has one. Doesn't mean it's good.
