Personally I've been bringing business back to IHG, which was my primary before Hyatt 15 years ago. It's been my secondary all this time but now it's getting way more focus and business. Moved $7k over 15 nights there last year, which previously would have been unthinkable.
Increasingly I'm going free agent when better but when branded stays make sense, IHG is coming back into my fold heavily. Hyatt is a flaming mess for me but they clearly think they are on the right path so Hopla whatever his name is can keep squeezing guests for every last penny in his drive to satisfy the hotel owners rather than change course. Gold passport and the Hyatt spirit it embodied are long dead. Even Hilton might not be bad as you said... Marriott is pretty much the only one I'd steer totally clear of.
