I have found the manage booking link tends to not work on the JAL website for about 3 days after booking on AS website. Once it works you can at least select window or aisle selection. I was able to get seat assignments in Prem Economy that way. It at least guaranteed I didnt get a middle seat in the middle. Worth doing for sure.
