The number of times in the past month I've wanted to do a quick check of AAA-BBB to see if any availability had opened is in the high dozens. And they were always spaced out far enough that my session timed out.
I don't really want to have to log in, check the "I'm not a robot" box, switch over to my email, copy/paste the code, and then continue my search. It is quite frustrating... but that's due to AC's auth system. Not an issue with requiring login per se.
