Only a few seats have the line of sight issue. And there are some seats (albeit very few) that are not connected to another seat and therefore do not have the rocking issue. Maybe you had one of those?
The rocking issue also is dependent on the seatmate. If it's a 90 lb person who doesn't move much, you won't really feet it. If it's a 250 lb person who fidgets constantly, it sucks.
The worst part about these seats is the IFE. The amount of light leakage from the sides of the screen is insane - makes watching any scenes in the dark impossible. Special forces raid at night? who knows as it's completely washed out.
