There are tricks to get around these one-way fares and qualify for the cheaper Saturday night stay fares (back-to-back ticketing) by nesting rountrip MCO-CLT bookings in CLT-MCO roundtrips. But AA could go after you as it's a violation of ticketing rules.
Assuming that the OP is departing CLT on, say, a Monday, and returning from MCO on, say, a Friday, no nesting is required. Just buy an initial CLT-MCO one-way ticket, and book MCO-CLT roundtrips (each with a Saturday-night stay) thereafter. No violation of any AA rules that way.
