I actually much prefer the phone to a video call/facetime, more reliable with poor signal and it can be far more efficient than texting.

In a previous job, I was email and text obsessed and avoided the phone like the plague. But some wise words from a manager resonated with me I have recognised some situations that are better discussed over the phone.


That all being as it may though, I think there has been a general shift since the pandemic in which people are forgetting basic etiquette for their fellow passengers who probably do not want to see or hear your meeting/tiktok/call to mum onboard a flight or in the lounge.
