Be very, very careful about IHG Army lodging. Depending on what base it is, it can be a typical HIX or Candlewood type property, or it can be very old lodging. Often there is only one queen bed. “Service” is quite poor. About 5 years ago, they decided to make the prices the same as civilian hotels, so they were no longer cheaper.
Also, depending upon the base, you will need a visitors pass, or need to be on a list, or your kid needs to come get you. Little of it will seem easy or logical.
I would call the hotel directly and ask your questions. The central reservation number is not different reps than the usual IHG reps. They just answer the phone differently.
