Wow thx for all the links. Had no clue you can upgrade on QF metal with AA miles. My flight is QF 11, the A380 SYD to LAX but I bought it on AA and it has a 4 digit codeshare AA flight number.

Btw I would be looking at upgrading from J to F so that may be an issue or no? Even if I cant do it with AA miles I would like to make a bid through QF although from what I can see maybe I cant do that since I bought it from AA.
