Check-in and current seat assignments has no effect on upgrade bids.
J is the cheapest booking class in business for SAS (and many other airlines). With C7 D5 Z2 J0 Y7 S0 I wouldn't be surprised if plus is already full or even oversold, but there can be many bidders.
