I do think there were some technical issues operating the non-stop 777 service to San Diego and consequently, some load restrictions on passenger numbers were put in place if I remember correctly which impacted revenue on the service.

However, on the flip side, I don't think loads were high enough to justify 747-400 service which was more capable technically for the route in question.
