And the MAD–DOH–SIN and BKK–DOH–MAD are on QR metal, but I had booked them as IB code-shares (with IB flight numbers) on an Optima fare, so I had assumed that the IB rules would apply to the entire itinerary. Hmm, I don't think OLCI for FCO-MAD on IB and OLCI for MAD-DOH-SIN on QR are done together; IB optima is seat selection at T-24hrs, so that would be for the FCO-MAD, but QR says OLCI is T-48hrs and seat selection becomes free at OLCI (biz preferred); so QR's 48 should supersede IB's 24hrs....I don't know (but curious), if one bought on IB Comfort on a QR codeshare would the seat selection (before OLCI) be done via IB or QR.
