Let me put it like this. If I have a long layover, I'd rather be sitting in a lounge (and even the worst priority pass lounges have beat waiting at the gate for hours in my experience). That said, there's only a certain amount that I'd be willing to pay for such a benefit. Being active duty military, I have priority pass membership for "free" via different credit cards where the annual fee is waived for me. Absent these fee waivers, though, I'd probably not pay more than $75-$100 a year for this service. And that's with my current travel habits where we travel internationally at least once a year and domestically several times a year. I'd pay more for the benefit in theory if the wait times to get into many loungers was more favorable.
