100% agreed. I flew BE on AA after I missed my F9 flight a few months back. The seat was tiny, not comfortable, I had to pay for carry-on and checked, no free drinks... really, the ONLY difference was that the guy in front of me could recline so his hair was in my face and his dandruff going up my nose for the 1.25 hour flight.
You are deluding yourself if you think flying Frontier is anything like fly AA (or DL or UA). It's a bad airline. Yes, they will usually get you where you need to go, but the entire Frontier experience -- except their general reliability -- is poor. That said, flying Frontier CAN be an excellent value, if you know how to game it. I fly Frontier for that reason. I accept an inferior product for tremendous savings. And at least when I was Diamond elite, the product wasn't that inferior. Frontier's overall problem is that most people DON'T get tremendous savings, and just see the inferior product. And they prefer to fly someone else.
