LLMs are a combination of two Douglas Adams concepts from Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency; the Electric Monk, which is designed to believe everything it’s told, and Reason, a program that allowed you to input the facts and the desired conclusion and would then invent logical-sounding arguments to reach the desired conclusion. They make things up. Nobody should ever use them as a search engine, or really for any purpose at all other than maybe getting a writing prompt for some bad fiction writing.
