One thing I'll add is that QR has some level of flexibilty. With BA, T-24 hours you are locked in. On QR I believe that the cancellation fee just increases up to T-3 (in which case you only get taxes back, no avios or anything else).

Also as far as I am aware, the cancellation fee on QR is cheaper.
