I have a reservation next week to fly SDF-IAD-FRA on a combination of UA and LH via a LifeMiles redemption in Y. My day of travel is currently not impacted by the announced strike action at FRA. However, if that changes what is my best course of action for getting rebooked onto a different flight to FRA?

Can I call UA or do I have to call Avianca? Is there anyways to make the changes on-line? Will they be able to move me onto any flight or will it only be if there is new award availability? How much am I going to regret booking this cheap redemption?
