If you're OWE, the QR Platinum South Lounge by Gate A1 is a much better lounge than the Piority Pass Lounge (Al Maha). Alternatively the Platinum & Gold North Lounge depending on which Gate you're departing from.

They are fairly relaxed about lounge entry IF it's not busy as long as one of you has entitlement. But that's not a guarantee. Sounds like ideally you'd need another OWE member.
