This is the first year I've had this problem, and it's a bit annoying. Statement closed yesterday, and I now have to wait to get status. It's almost like AA is manually processing these!

I'm changing my statement date to the 27th of the month to avoid this being a problem with future years.

Update - with a Citi card, changing the payment due date to the 23th of the month will ensure the final Feb statement closes before the end of the month.
