Had a flight from WAW to AMS yesterday (06/03/2025) with my newly extended Volare Premium.
I booked the Saver fare as usual but it was no problem checking a bag for free and my BP showed Sky Priority and 'AZ Elite Plus'.

All looks good so I headed to Fantazja as usual. There the lounge dragon says they don't accept "Alitalia" status any more. I told her that ITA, formerly Alitalia, was still in SkyTeam and so my SkyTeam Elite Plus status should be recognised. Again she refuses - 'we don't accept Alitalia'.

I pointed out that all my STE+ benefits were recognised at check-in, including fast track, and STE+ is showing on the BP, so why can't I enter the lounge? This is where it gets interesting. She asks to see my status card. I knew the Apple Wallet didn't show the STE+ insignia but the app would show status until 2026-01, just like when we got status extensions a short while ago. So I open up the ITA app and select the card: now it shows an expiry of 2025-12 and the STE+ logo has gone missing

So that's not looking good, though I still maintain that I should be good for entry till April 30, and at this point she makes a mistake and boldly claims that Fantazja only allows Flying Blue elite members out of the SkyTeam alliance. Obviously I push back on this and ask her to check and give me the list where it says only FB of SkyTeam is allowed. She's flummoxed by this so I ask her to tell me which SkyTeam members are allowed. She then rustles around in the system, checks with the other guy there and I hear him say "to April 30" in Polish. She then admits that I have lounge access till April 30 and lets me in

So I did manage to get into Fantazja in the end (not helped by the status card in the ITA app mysteriously having lost the STE+ reference), but I'd prefer not to go through that rigmarole all over again next time.

Hopefully my getting them to admit that ITA Premium/Executive members are allowed access till April 30 will make it easier for subsequent pax to get in without all the hassle I had.
