Well, my upgrade actually occurred, I think, on 9 or 10 August (I got the email on the 10th it seems) owing to the qualifying flight being flown 6 August but credited only 9 August. So I had 1470 credited as of 8 August, which reset to 0. Then 40 credited after 8 August for the 6 August flight. Which I think was obviously reset and not counted in the new year totals. The email itself doesn’t mention the validity date for the Gold status, but does refer to the change in membership years.
Unfortunately I didn’t notice what the validity date was at that time in my account, only more recently.
For what it’s worth, even though the card and dashboard page shows April 2026, the dashboard still shows me at 1380/1500 for “requalifying” so it is a little ambiguous to say the least. Hence my coming here to see if anyone else knows more or has seen anything similar in their accounts.
