Book through Chase portal or transfer to airline?
I am kind of new to this whole thing so Please forgove
me if its obvious…

i need to book HKG - ORD flight on Cathay. I have no status nor miles with the airline. What I have is about 200k on chase travel
points.

whats the best way to use them?

option 1 - buy Cathay Economy and upgrade to Premium by transferring Chase points to Asia miles?
option 2 - book with chase points through travel portal and get a discount?
