I wonder whether they have had recent changes with the canapés. Hot and cold were both served on a single plate each. Cold was some salmon on toast (nothing at all to write home about) and some duck breast, both boring. Hot was a plate with one dish. Two pieces of beef (filet), a potato cake and some veggies but not the usual "three course meal". Pretty good. These offerings were on the very cheap side. Staff was a disaster. None of the known faces, but two pretty young guys without any real service approach, who silently locked away the drinks at 8 pm without prior warning ("We must do that"). Checkout in the lounge did not work today, very young agent had not been trained. The good thing was that the club was the only relaxing area in the hotel to to ITB madness in Berlin. Rates were skyrocketing. Paid about double of what I normally pay on my corporate rate. Upgrade, club based on lounge pass, 15 EUR credit and late check-out worked as it should work, nothing at all to complain.
