Montevideo: Day Trip to Colonia?
Hi All,

I will be going to Montevideo over President's Day weekend for a two night stay. As I have all day Sunday and most of Saturday and Monday, I am thinking about making a day trip to Colonia. Has anyone done this as a day trip from Montevideo? If so, what is the approximate travel time? What is the preferred mode of travel? Also, how is the city from a safety perspective (not a big issue for me as I've been to both Buenos Aires and Rio, but I've heard street crime may be an issue).
