Unless they changed something, the ones (the "weird" gold looking ones) that Price Chopper sells in their stores (physical ones), on the back, you'd "register" it and there was a section somewhere to set the PIN and put your address and stuff in (I think it was only based upon if you created an account and registered that card with your account).

Unless the outside packaging says Vanilla, they aren't Vanillas.
I have encountered VGCs that can be registered, but they were not Vanillas.
To sum it up, not all VGCs are Vanillas. The outside packaging and the website listed on the back of the card will tell you all you need to know.
