Located on level 29, this lounge offers views on the Miami downtown and the Bayfront Park.
One can access it if your keycard is properly coded.
Guestrelations staff are manning the club reception desk.
It is also possible to check out here.
Nothing than praise for Mr. Matheus and his team,
Our room was not ready, there was no RA hospitality room ready either.
All due to a complete buyout of the hotel + conference.
He kept us updated on the progress, gave us extra drinks vouchers.
This gave me a good opportunity to experience the lounge.
First the welcome letter.
After the lounge finished its refurbishment, it was doubled in m2 space.
It has 2 toilets on each end. It also has a television nook one end and at the other end.
There is table seating and more relaxing sofa seating.
A seperate side room is where the breakfast buffet & evening presentation buffet is displayed and offered.
This is closed with a sliding door, if outside those hours.
We spotted the weary, desperate and hungry masses trying to open the door to delve into the offerings before official presebtation time

For those in the know, it is exactly like the side breakfast room of IC BCN's Club Interconinental lounge.
This is the ambiance of IC MIA's Club Intercontinental.
Lounge stays open till 20.00 H.
What's
always available ?
Breakfast
All help yourself, there is no extra cook to order menu
After breakfast,
the lounge switches to its standard mode of
inbetween daytime offerings which entails

warning these wasabi peas can kill you,
we had a father/son bonding moment...
a contest: who can keep a straight face...when chucking a handfull of those in one's mouth...
while filming it and posting on tiktok/instagram
(if you see a hairy bearded man in full agony clutching his first on the table in your tiktok/instagram reel, that could be me)
* wasabi peas can bought at the Kroger supermarket

Need to import this for my annual fraternity reunion

This is the offering during
tea time

Will admit, those macaroons were still fresh and not stale
And this is the
evening presentation
The side room is opened again.
I can share rotation 1 & 2 of the hot items.
As others have said, any tea time leftovers are still available.
The macaroons though might have been hoovered up by yours truely ...
For our British and Scandinavian friends,
Good news,
This lounge is very welcoming to help yourself booze.
I think it is the best among the US-lounges that i have visited sofar.
Why? At each hotel's Club Intercontinental lounge:
IC Barclay NYC cannot serve any liquor (local / state permit & law) only wines and beer
IC Houston MC must be served (local law) no self service, bottles cannot be in view displayed
However IC San Antonio RW does allow self service beer, wine liquor
The Hades no1 bloodline is proud to have sampled everything at IC MIA's alcoholic offering
After the relief of not becoming an unexpected grandfather, i think it's good that we both had good quality time together to discuss it all.
And rattling his bones & brain, never to scare me again like that ....
But what do i know, at that age i was also quite crumpet mad......
Below the self service alcoholic drinks area
Yes, this was most comfortable.
As you can see, this lounge offers indeed something for everyone.
It's not lavish or extravagant but a pleasent space with enough options to keep oneself fed and hydrated.
Can fully recommend!
And that concludes my update on IC MIA.
Hope you have enjoyed and that it will help you plan a better stay.
To all those curious where we ate that was closeby the hotel:
Zuma
https://www.zumarestaurant.com/en/miami (Buffet brunch is pretty darn good) for Londoners : this is Roka but on steroids
Boloud Sud
https://bouludsud.com/miami/ (relaxed with tasty food and possible for conversations)
Hell's Kitchen
https://www.gordonramsayrestaurants....Usuv56Z68ivfda (Although he gets on my nerves, this was a good surprise)
And we popped over (walk / metromover to 8th street ) to the area of Brickell City Centre to try out :
305 Peruvian
https://www.305peruvian.com (i've died and gone to heaven, a must !)
Tacology Inside Brickel mall
https://tacology.us (not cheap but beautiful people watching)
Talking tacos
https://talkintacos.net/brickell (relaxed outdoor terrace but most order from machine)
Did we do anything else than eat ?
Yes, we went daily to the Puttshack (also in London as recommended by son no2)
https://www.puttshack.com/locations/miami
Fully automated and neon dazzling but with a hilarious snarky voice at each course :
Think : Graham Norton X Joan Rivers : " not really one of your best shots / you certainly took your time "
So yes, i can fully recommend the IC MIA's location,
we didn't need to go anywhere else as everything is walkable or metromover close.
*I've been to 1Hotels Miami Beach before it was popular, now to old to flash on Miami Beach*

you'd all go blind.*
