Here is a question.

Say you are a Plat flying BOS-DTW-LAX and did NOT get upgrades on both flights.

Do you get 1000 or 2000 miles? Depends on same flight number or different flight number?

Can you refuse an upgrade and demand miles instead?

How about do MRs like BOS-MEM-DTW-MSP-LAX-MSP-DTW-MEM-BOS and refuse upgrades? That is a nice 8000 miles to collect!
