I just became aware of this bar code requirement when I got a receipt from United home from BOM and it had the note and bar codes on it. That's actually a backup flight - an Alaska Air reward reservation on Qatar the day before, which is the one I want to take - and nothing I got from Alaska has any sort of bar code or discussion about it. I see that some people are not needing them to get in, but the QR flight leaves at around 4:30 AM and I want to be sure I'm prepared for it.

Does anyone know in a situation like this where one airline is issuing a ticket for another who is responsible for doing the bar code? And/or, does anyone have any experience with tickets from Alaska or Qatar whether they send them later? (I'm way out from my planned flight.) Thanks for any help.
