I was planning to charge F&B and other incidentals to our room and use the IHG One Premier Business card to pay for those and the daily resort fee.
Even though I now know we won't earn the 16x loyalty points through IHG, can anyone confirm that we'd still earn 10x points via the credit card for all of those charges? The terms say you earn "10 points for each $1 spent on qualifying purchases made at hotels participating in IHG One Rewards," but now I'm questioning if that all counts as qualifying IHG purchases for the credit card. My other option would be to use an Ink Business Preferred for 3x Ultimate Rewards on Travel purchases.
Yes, you will earn 10x points for any charges you put on your room folio. I value those points at .005, so if you spend $1000, you'll earn 10,000 points, worth about $50, to me. If you earn 3x UR, I value those points at, at least .015, so that would be $1000x3= 3,000 UR, worth about $45.
FYI, In November at Bonny Moon, we were specifically told we could not charge to the room, as it's a "parnership" not ownership, so they don't share charging capabilities. Not sure if that has changed.
