Well I've never known it to take an hour so that would be very conservative. I haven't used the BA lounge in a while but assuming they make a boarding announcement in there, I would probably wait for that, as most lounge pax will head at that point. You'll then know that you're with a bunch of people on the same flight and there's good comfort in that.
