Just winding up a 1030-1410 T3 OW Lounge Tour due to a delayed departure. Thoughts are based upon environment and visible amenities, as I wasn’t eating or drinking everywhere.
AA-First: Small lounge with comfortable environment. Decent, if limited, offerings in both food and drink, but small dining area is available. Good power to most seats, not very busy. Number 3
AA-AC: Much larger, similar food/drink offerings. Decent environment, not too crowded, perfectly acceptable as a “lounge”. Tied for number 5
BA-F: Quite nice, with the invitation only dining option available. Some power to seats, much better food and drink options. Reasonably calm and quiet. Number 4
BA Galleries: Feels like the furniture that’s been moved from BA-F migrates here. Poor power to seats, acceptable food and decent drink options. Not too busy right now, but was rammed an hour ago. Tied for number 5
CX-First: Intimate space with great seating and a small dining area. Also a small, galley style food and drink section with a surprisingly wide variety of foods and a decent series of drinks. Wonderful environment. My number one choice…but I was too comfortable to look for power (and lacks Western choices on the buffet)
CX Business: Similar furnishings, similar offerings, calm enough environment, and acceptable views. The noodle bar is the probable highlight…this is my number 2 (also failed to check for power), though not for Western eating.
QF: Peculiar lounge, but it was almost
empty and the lift was out of service. Dining on the lower level was no open, the selection of foods and drinks on the buffet area made the AA-AC spread look regal…however, there is the bar at the other end of the space. Poor views, broken power outlets. Number 7
