You will need to login to the IB website or get the App. Passport information is passed to IB as long as it is on your AA profile. Seat selection will also be done through IB website/app. Day of care is done by the operating airline.
My question had nothing to do with seat selection. However, for the benefit of any others who might read this, the information above is not correct in my experience----IB can only assign IB seats, AA can only assign AA seats. I did get the AA PNR from IB and seats were assigned long ago.
