And forgot to mention, but when you arrive at the lounge don't ask the agent if you can buy a pass flying EI or mention how EI isn't oneworld or anything like that.

Rather, just have your wife's parents scan their boarding passes first, let them confirm their access, then ​tell the agent you'd like to buy 2 day passes so everyone can use the lounge together.
