We flew the 350 in F from Haneda to JFK last week. Specific to this plane and seat, it was a big improvement over our flight last year on the 777. The flight was
smoother/quieter and the cabin felt light and private. For sleeping, this is one of the best options available anywhere - two choices of mattress pad, ample space
and an effective privacy door.

That said, there were a few aspects that underwhelmed. The combo of three different options for audio (in seat, provided headphones, blue tooth) and
two control options on the ipad made for a less than seamless experience. Both of our systems failed and had to be rebooted, mine twice. The in seat speaker
was sub par. The library was limited as well. I also found the location and heft of the table a negative. The FAs had to work hard to pull them out and they
had a side panel that blocked the ability to easily exit the seat. Since I like to keep the table open for work, it wasn't ideal. While it is good to be able to store
baggage underseat and there are a few other storage sites, I would have liked a small contained landing space to keep glasses, phones, etc. closer to the seat.

The FAs were lovely but they were not proactive. We were served the usual multi course meal after take off and then nothing else was offered for the rest of the long
flight. The menu listed a number of light meals and options and I assumed there would be a point at which the FAs would ask if we were interested but that never happened. I asked for the ramen which was served promptly but that was it....no questioning if a salad or dessert would be of interest. For the price point
of this flight, this was a big miss. Or, at a minimum, we should have been told to look at the menu and ask for anything at any time. There were only 4 passengers
in the cabin and it was a day flight, so it was a let down.

At Haneda the door to the FC check in was not well marked and some of the personnel standing in that area did not even know what I was talking about. Same thing last year. As for the FC lounge, it is truly beautiful with many different spaces. However, I found the need to download an app with all the steps that entailed to
order food with a QR code not hospitable enough for a FC lounge. And, maybe this is just me, but the lounge we were sitting in had no diet coke or coke zero, which
seems like standard issue stuff.

Overall, a great plane, mixed experience with the new seat and soft product not up to the price point, unusual for JAL.
