Hoping that someone can point me in the right direction. I was a DL Platinum and now have zero status. When I booked an AF flight for this week in business class to Singapore, I had Platinum and was able to assign seats. I'm done with the DL program and want to credit the flights to Flying Blue where I have no status. If I change the FF number, do I risk the seats dropping out of the system? For some reason, the AF system is still seeing me as a DL Platinum.

On some airlines you automatically lose your seat selection when your status drops. On other, they ask you to pay for setselection at airport. It seems that on AF nothing happens, but I have no personal evidence. As Xandrios suggests, the safest thing is to wait to change your FFP at the airport.
