Changing the app store region for iOS is more of a pain.
It is not as bad as before...

You first need to sign up for an Apple ID in the Japan region
After that, go to the App Store, sign out of your current account and login with the Japan region Apple ID (You DO NOT need to sign out iCloud for this)
Download the app, and you can then log out the App Store and log back in with your primary account

Good thing is you can still get JP app updates even if you are not signed in to the JP Apple ID. Although I do notice there is a weird issue that sometimes the JP apps will crash immediately upon launch. You have to re-download the app from the JP store to "fix" it
