Slightly off topic...

So, here's the thing. I'm not going to purchase any more poly hard shell bags, no matter the brand. My medium sized Delsey lasted about three years and then a corner, by the wheel, was crushed, not repairable and something about 'this type of damage is not covered by warranty'. My large hard shell is showing its wear after about 3 years. All of my soft checked bags have lasted for years - I'd always get my money's worth. And since I don't pack anything fragile, I'm not too concerned about my bag being hard shell. In addition, I am not a light packer, and while the aluminum hard shell has some advantages, it is heavier than most poly and soft side bags of similar size, so I'm pushing typical 23KG/50# for business class.

I'll continue to replace my luggage with decent (but not expensive) soft side luggage.
