Yes I appreciate that my focussed image is over simplistic. Your forecasters are not just focussing in but forecasting for your apecific ATC needs. Similarly other sectors need very specific focussed forecasts. In the offshore industry, installing, or removing, a well platform might need five solid days of winds below x, and seas lower than y. And it is appreciated that you only get that in summer, and even then you might have to wait a few weeks.
