In fact stopped us trying the Janu which appears to be even less discreet.
Staff at both were lovely although didn't use concierge at either.
In terms of F&B the MO is better in terms of room service choice, quality and has a much better breakfast spread. The Okura room service is OK but western items a bit more limited, the buffet in Orchid appeared to be poorer than previous visit in 2023 as well.
However overall two good stays although I think for price and hard product will use the Okura for both ends of our trip next time. Means we will also have chance to try the Japanese breakfast which we didn't have time for this time due to a busy final day and early check out for our flight back home.
Kyoto we stayed in the Oakwood which is a for a posting on another thread.
I'm torn between the two. A heritage room at the Okura is ¥540,129 and a Deluxe Corner Room at the MO is ¥626,775. However, the MO is ontop of a metro, whereas the okura is a bit of a walk.
