Asking for a friend....

For optima fares, when seat selection becomes free at T-24, if there are any XLs left are they free to select?

If not, can OWR ask for them for free at check in (in the J desk....).

Not sure how much exit rows cost on other airlines but SFO-MAD in July is 88eur. Acceptable I guess...
