Green mid tier lounge pass question.

*Travel companions for Lounge Passes are passengers travelling with you on the same booking or flying on the same date with the same origin and destination.

P1 (myself): as SL flying YVR-HKG (transit only)-MEL
P2: on a separate booking flying HKG-MEL on the same date and flight

Would I be able to claim the lounge pass for my travel companion to be used in HKG? I am not sure what CX's definition is for "same origin" in this case. Thanks.
