stayed there for two nights - had a conference door next door. The lobby is very nice - had a W feeling to it. Check-in was ok. Was told that I was upgraded to an excetuive room based on my platinum status. Got to the room and was surprised what I saw. this was the smallest room I ever stayed in. Not sure what the upgrade was. No lounge. My rate had breakfast included so no benefits here. None of the staff could really speak english - most were from east europe. I checked out at 1pm. i told the lady my room number and this what she said (no hello or anything): Check out is at 12pm. I could not believe it that she said this - afterall I am a Platinum. She told me that she has to charge me extra but she will do an excemption . She did not say anything else.

Last week I stayed at the CP in Minnenaplois - again was told that I was upgraded but my friends (without status) got similar rooms. No lounge but received a continetal breakfast coupon ($9 value) -- a joke.

This program is a joke: I will never stay at a CP. I will stay in Starwood or Hilton. I like IC but the treatment at the others hotels are unbelievable.

I do not understand why people would join this program or try to get Platinum status.
