It can be difficult to do an SDC with checked bags, but the app might allow it. If it's $2K to make that change now, I suspect one or both of those conditions don't exist.
Gotcha. The flight I want to be on is actually not that expensive at the moment, but I think adding the stopover changes some fare rules on the existing itinerary. If SDC is not available, could I fly standby? What does that mean in terms of checked bags?
