I am curious on what aspect KML would do better on shorthaul? I know its a N=1 but on my last KLM short haul flight to LHR I had troubles checking in on the app (as did others in my party), boarding was a zoo (at Schiphol), had to pay for seat selection, and i got a small bottle of water and a snack. Ok, the only thing better was that the cabin crew made sure there was space in the overhead bin at the exit rows, I have never seen that on BA. For the rest its all the same. The return on BA to AMS was pretty much the same, only a A321NEO that is a bit less noisey.
